Behind every painting session and puddle jump there is a plan. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage — the national framework for under-fives — but your child just experiences it as a brilliant day.
Seven areas, woven into every day
Ofsted found our curriculum "highly effective in promoting children's love of learning". Here is what it actually covers.
Communication & language
Talking, listening, singing and story-telling all day long. We narrate, ask real questions and give children time to answer.
Personal, social & emotional
Making friends, taking turns, naming big feelings and learning that upset moments pass — the skills that matter most later.
Physical development
Climbing, balancing and running outdoors; threading, cutting and mark-making indoors. Big muscles first, then little ones.
Literacy
Sharing books daily, spotting letters in the world, and early phonics through games — plus plenty of practice writing their own name.
Mathematics
Counting, sorting, patterns, shapes and size — at the water tray, laying the lunch table and singing number songs.
Understanding the world & the arts
Growing things, cooking, celebrating festivals, exploring how things work — and painting, music, dance and dressing up.
One person who knows your child inside out
From your very first settling-in visit, your child is matched with a key person. They are the one who learns that he only settles with the blue blanket, that she is frightened of the hand dryer, that this week he has become obsessed with diggers.
They plan around your child's interests, keep their learning journal, and are your main point of contact. When you come at the end of the day, you get a proper handover from someone who actually knows how the day went.

Cooked here, eaten together
We have our own kitchen, so lunch is cooked fresh on site rather than arriving in a van. Children eat together at the table, and the older ones serve themselves — Ofsted noticed them setting the tables with plates and cutlery, which is exactly the sort of independence we are after.
Allergies, intolerances, and family or religious diets are all catered for. If you would rather send a packed lunch, that is completely fine too.

Outdoors, every single day
Our secure garden gets used whatever the sky is doing. Children dig, build, splash, ride and climb — it is where the biggest physical leaps happen, and where reluctant talkers often find their voice.
Send wellies and a coat, and we will supply the puddles.
Ready for big school
In their final year with us, pre-schoolers practise the things reception teachers really care about: listening in a group, managing coats and shoes, going to the toilet independently, and having a go at something hard.
We work closely with local primary schools so the move feels like a step, not a leap.
